# Token Overview

In March 2024, we performed the inital Airdrop for our project token, $SUBSTANCE on the TAP protocol. TAP was chosen to allow a large-scale airdrop to be possible in a timely and affordable fashion, and to follow the market momentum started by the $KARMA airdrop in the past few weeks. 

TAP-SUBSTANCE aims to reward early adopters to our ecosystem, and reward those that continue to hold and support BTC Substance. 5% of the total allocation was airdropped to wallets that Minted on MagicEden, and another 5% was airdropped to those that continued to hold until the Bitspace Deeds Snapshot. The majority of the allocation will be used for staking rewards to support holders and incentivise users to hold multiple assets.

**NOTE:** If you hold multiple of any of our collections, your allocation **WILL STACK**. So if you have 3 Substances, 2 1/1 creations, and 1 Deed, you would make (250\*3) + (500\*2) + (250\*1) = 2000 SUBSTANCE per day.&#x20;

### RUNIC PORTALS ALLOCATION

* Each Runic Portal can have 3 to 10 RUNES present above it's portal. This is shown in the "Runes Count" trait on MagicEden. <https://magiceden.io/ordinals/marketplace/runic_portals>\

* The **daily allocation** of each Runic Portal is determined by the number of runes, and whether or not each Rune is an **alphanumeric** character, or a **special** character.&#x20;
  * **ALPHANUMERIC RUNES:** Letters A-Z and numbers 0-9. These will be given a **daily allocation of 1,** as well as a **bonus multiplier of 1**
  * **SPECIAL CHARACTER RUNES:** Anything other than Alphanumeric.  Some examples of these are: À, ₧, Ð, Œ, etc. These will be given a **daily allocation of 2,** as well as a **bonus multiplier of 2**
* **The bonus will be applied to the total daily allocation across all assets.**&#x20;
* So, if you have 8 runes, with 5 alphanumeric and 3 special:
  * 5\*1 + 3\*2 = 11, which means this rune would yield:
    * 11 TAP-SUBSTANCE /Day
    * An 11% multiplier on all TAP-SUBSTANCE held.&#x20;

### Airdrops and Snapshots

**Airdrops will be sent out EVERY TWO WEEKS, and snapshots are taken daily at Midnight PST.**&#x20;

### Token Utility

SUBSTANCE will have a few initial utilities, which will be added to as time goes on.&#x20;

* Purchasing Whitelist Spots
  * A percentage of the Whitelist for our next project will be available in exchange for a set amount of SUBSTANCE. Any substance used for purchasing whitelist will be Burned and removed from circulation
* 1/1 Exclusive Airdrops
  * Certain 1/1 raffles will be exclusive to wallets with a sufficient balance of TAP-SUBSTANCE. Snapshots of these will be announced ahead of time.&#x20;
* In-house raffle system. &#x20;
  * We've built our own CUSTOM RAFFLE SYSTEM that lets users spend their TAP-SUBSTANCE on raffle tokens, which makes the token deflationary. <https://btcsubstance.com/raffles>

To sell on Ordinals Wallet:

1. Go to your Wallet (<https://ordinalswallet.com/wallet>)
2. In the list of tokens on the right-hand-side, locate SUBSTANCE
3. Click "Manage Token" then click "Inscribe Transfer" in the box that pops up.&#x20;
4. Select the amount you would like to sell, and then approve the transaction. &#x20;
